2012-01-10 [Avaz]: I highly, highly recommend The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear, books 1 and 2 of the Kingkiller Chronicles, both by Patrick Rothfuss. They're long books, but so effing good, it's hard to put down.
2012-01-10 [Nioniel]: Thank you. :3
2012-01-10 [Ravendust]: I would recommend anything by Kay Hooper. Namely - The "Bishop" Special Crimes Unit Series. Also The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. All are very good books that I find myself reading over and over! :)
2012-01-10 [Nioniel]: Would the Special Crimes Unit Series be fairly graphic as far as sexual abuse goes?
2012-01-10 [Ravendust]: no, its not special in that sense, special crimes is pretty much a unit of psychic/people with special abilities.
2012-01-10 [Nioniel]: Ahh. For some reason my mind connected that with Special Victims Unit for that one crime show. :/
Okay, thanks, I'll look into it and see if it would interest me. :3
2012-01-10 [Ravendust]: Yeah, I thought I should clarify but hadn't gotten to it^^;; hope you can get into the series :)
2012-01-10 [Nioniel]: Thanks. :)
2012-01-11 [Viking]: I recommend anything I've given a 4 or 5 to on one of these wikis:
Viking's Reading List 2010
Viking's Reading List 2011
Viking's Reading List for the End of the World
=P
2012-01-11 [Nioniel]: Thanks. I'll check 'em out.
2012-01-11 [Nioniel]: Sorry if you all got lots of page updates. I think I'm done prettifying the page. :3
2012-01-11 [Viking]: Ah, Desert of Souls. Good choice!
2012-01-11 [Nioniel]: It sounded good. It seems like you read/have read a lot of series'. This didn't seem like it was a part of one?
2012-01-11 [Viking]: Nope, it's a standalone novel. Though I have read there are some short stories (possibly available online as freebies) that are related.
2012-01-11 [Nioniel]: Oke. Thanks. :3
2012-01-11 [Viking]: Also, you should read anything and everything by Christopher Moore. Except for the Vampire Trilogy - Bloodsucking Fiends, You Suck!, and Bite Me! - they're all standalone. Though sometimes characters from one book show up in another. I've only reviewed a few of them.
2012-01-11 [Lord Josmar]: Do you have to have a picture of the book?
